We'll Miss You, Orphie!

Petite Feet Pet Care would like to say a good-bye to Orphie who had been my closest and most loved client, and still is. For the past 11 months, 5 days a week, Orphie was my mid-day pick-me-up. No matter what happened before I walked through the door, his affectionate growl always brought a smile to my face. Even though he was diagnosed with kidney failure at the age of 15, he never missed a day of carrying around his “Baby-Doos” or chasing around his brothers. I always said, and still believe, he never seemed sick. He overcame all odds, especially with his numbers – as all the vets insisted.

I think to myself that this is the hard part of the job – losing that special furry someone – but Orphie was never a client. He was, and will always be, like one of my own. It was impossible not to bond with him. Orphie was the type of animal that everyone loves in an instant. There aren’t enough words to describe him adequately. He will forever be in everyone’s hearts that had the blessing to meet him. Orphie fought to the very end and is now in a better place with all the Baby-Doos and catnip one cat can handle. I know he is looking over all of us, smiling down, purring (or growling, because both meant the same to him) and loving us.

So, to Orphie, for being the strongest and best friend anyone could wish to have – we all love you.

To Annette, who has become family and my third mother, you know we are here for whatever you need. Thank you for sharing the all the love Orph had to give.
